The Hearing Clinic Staff

Dr. Gerald Mill, Ph.D., CCC-A

The Hearing Clinic was established in 1993 by Dr. Gerald Mill. Dr. Mill, a graduate of two universities, obtained his Ph.D. in the science of hearing from the University of Utah in 1972. Prior to coming to Idaho Falls in 1974, Dr. Mill taught in a graduate program in Audiology at a midwestern university. He has also taught graduate courses for ISU and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Hearing aids have been an important and integral part of Dr. Mill's practice of audiology which he began in 1969.

Holding national certification in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Dr. Mill is uniquely qualified to accurately assess your hearing and provide additional diagnostic tests when required by your family physician or medical specialist.

Dr. Mill is the founder of Audiology and Hearing Aid Services Inc. (AHAS) which was acquired by Audiotech Healthcare Corporation in April 1998. He currently serves as the managing audiologist responsible for the company’s Idaho operations.

Prior to founding AHAS in 1980, Dr. Mill worked as an audiologist at the Eugene Hearing and Speech Center, American Fork Utah Training School, The University of Utah Medical Center, Ear Nose and Throat Center of Salt Lake City and Ear Nose and Throat Associates of Idaho Falls. In addition, Dr. Mill has collaborated with two senior engineers in the development, fabrication, and sale of Hear-All, a patented device that enables moderate to severely hearing impaired individuals to use the telephone effectively.

Travis Rigby, M.S.

Mr. Rigby graduatd from Utah State University and has national certification by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology. He has been associated with the Hearing Clinics of eastern Idaho since 2001. He evaluates both hearing and balance disorders, and specializes in hearing aid therapy. He operates the Hearing Clinics in Rexburg and Driggs. Mr. Rigby is a local product of eastern Idaho and western Wyoming having been raised on a farm in Alta Wyoming. He has seen a lot of this part of the country from the top side of a horse and plans to see considerably more. he and his wife Nicole are the parents of two children.

Zachary Hale, M.S.

Mr. Hale also graduatd from Utah State University and has national certification by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Military Audiology Association. Mr. Hale came to the Hearing Clinic in 2001. He is a lieutenant in the United States Army and serves in a medical unit as an audiologist. he spends his time in our Idaho Falls office where he is heavily involved with hearing and balance evaluations. Mr. Hale spends about half of his work week evaluating and fitting digital hearing systems. He grew up in Star Valley Wyoming on a cattle and hay operation and is also quite familiar with the inside of a saddle. He and his wife Trish are the parents of a young son and live in Ririe.
