Well, spring has sprung ... and summer is just around the corner. Better Hearing and Speech Month is almost over and this long awaited newsletter is finally here! We are covering a wide range of topics in this edition of the Newsletter: noise and safety; cochlear implants; disposable hearing aids; closed captioning at the movies; a sign language Barbie doll; music induced hearing loss; and much more ...
We even have an article about hearing aid insurance for your dog or cat. Yes, you read that right, hearing aids for your family pet and medical insurance that covers them! I didn't believe it at first either, but it is true. ...interested yet? :)

Thank you to everyone over the last couple of months for all your valuable feedback! Please keep it coming. You may have already noticed many changes to the website, including the latest navigational change. Apparently, not everyone has entered the web site through the index page. Instead, they have come into the web site using search engines or other links and have ended up lost, deep within the site. Thus, they had no idea what else was on the web site, or how to find it. Therefore, for your convenience, we have put a guide on every page to help visitors find their way back to the home/index page. For example, if you are on the "hearing impaired books for adults" page, the guide is at the top of the page and looks something like this:
index > products & technology > books, journals & videos > adult books

We just wanted to send a VERY BIG HEART-FELT THANK YOU out to all of you who have submitted a survey to the hearingcenteronline.com website over the last couple of months.
Thanks to you, our survey program has become a huge success and we have committed to keep it going! We have only had the site up for a few short months and all of the positive feedback has helped us to create an online community that has gone beyond all expectations ... after only 45 days we were already receiving an average of 900 unique visitors a day ... now we are averaging in excess of 1000 per day (that's 30,000 per month) ... and still growing!
