After several telephone conversations and emails back and forth from us to the Oberkotter Foundation we have now been permitted to let you know about a great new FREE resource for parents of newly identified deaf and hard of hearing children (infants and toddlers). Thanks to this non-profit organization, advocating oral-deaf education, this resource has been made available FREE of charge to these parents. They even cover the cost of shipping! This kit introduces families to oral deaf education.
MAKE a joyful noise provides pediatric professionals and parents with the resources and information they need to make educational and medical choices for deaf or hard-of-hearing children. MAKE a joyful noise addresses the importance of early intervention to maximize a newly identified deaf or hard-of-hearing child's ability to listen and speak. It was developed with the help of educators, speech pathologists, pediatricians, audiologists, and ENTs.
Now there is an informative kit that can help parents find the answers to many of the questions they have about their deaf or hard-of-hearing baby. SPEAKING for Myself
