This month's edition will include:

• Our sister site - Hearing Depot.Com, a new web site for hearing impaired consumers! ...Although we don't currently sell products or services directly from HearingCenterOnline, we have had literally hundreds of requests from people wanting help to acquire them. This put us in a little bit of a predicament.
  
  On one side, Audiotech Healthcare Corporation created HearingOnline.com to give back to the hard-of-hearing community by providing information to the public about products, industry news, and new technologies that may be helpful to them ... an information portal, if you will. We did not want to compromise our credibility or quality of information we provide, by selling products through this site (other than a listing of books which you can purchase through us for convenience sake).
  
  On the other hand, we felt that selling these products could help to fund the continually growing costs of HearingCenterOnline.com and give those who want them access to the products that may help them. Our solution was to create HearingDepot.com, a separate site from us that features hundreds of assistive products for the hearing impaired and a profit sharing affiliate program. ... click here.

• Cochlear Corporation Sponsors National Campaign for Hearing Health Initiative
  ...With a donation of $100, 000 and a pledge to provide resources to support this campaign, Cochlear Corporation has joined forces with the Deafness Research Foundation to advocate for an increase in the reimbursement levels for cochlear implants and hearing aids ... click here.

• Dennis and Crackers on "Hearing Dogs"
  ...Over the last two months we have had the privilege of working with a very special team, Dennis Robertson and his Hearing Dog, Crackers. Dennis, who lost most of his hearing in his thirties, is very active in Kamloops and all over British Columbia, educating and talking to people about hearing loss, assistive products and hearing dogs. Last month Dennis sat down and answered many of our questions about hearing dogs. What is a hearing dog? How does a hearing dog alert you to sounds? Can any dog be a hearing dog?
