What is the "Hearing Impaired Web Ear Ring"?
Welcome to an innovative way of surfing The Web!
First of all: what's a WebRing? It is an exciting (and FREE) alternative to common search engines such as Yahoo or Infoseek, and it is called a "WebRing". A WebRing is a group of several web sites with a common theme and similar content. There are THOUSANDS of WebRings on the World Wide Web. There are Rings for actors, music bands, hobbies, ... and now there is a WebRing for the Hearing Impaired Community called the "Audiotech Hearing Impaired Web Ear Ring".
The "Audiotech Hearing Impaired Web Ear Ring" was created the end of January, 2000 and is currently in the top 20 WebRings in the world for Healthcare Organizations (there are currently, more than 75,000 active WebRings on the World Wide Web).
This WebRing has been created as a way to surf all the great hearing related sites that exist on The Net so that you can have hours of enjoyable information without having to pull your hair out trying to weed through thousands of search results that have nothing to do with hearing. Members websites are from all over the world with information ranging from unique products to personal experiences ...Have fun!
How does this web ring work?
So, now that you know what a WebRing is, you can now get ready to surf the Audiotech Hearing Impaired Web Ear Ring! Ring navigation is quite simple: through navigation links found at the bottom of member pages underneath the webring graphic, you can travel to all or any of the sites in the Ring. The "List" link will take you to a page that lists all of the current web sites that are in our Web Ear Ring (20 at a time). From that page you can choose which site you would like to visit next.
Join
The "Join" link will take you to a page that will give you the ability to join our Web Ear Ring if you have a hearing related website. (see below)

If you have a suggestion for a good hearing related website that is not presently in the WebRing, we would love to hear about it. Send us an email with the web page address for example:

and we'll check it out. If it meets the criteria for joining we'll send them an invitation by email. If you would like you can also email the owner of the site that you are suggesting and tell them that you have recommended their website to us.
